Taxi Cab Fares:

The  taxi  cab  fares are decided by the City Council and each taxi cab has a copy of the fares displayed in  the  window  or some  other  conspicuous place. The following   rates are currently being used in the bay area:

Rate 1:

$ 3.50     Flag Drop (first 1/10 of a mile)
$ 0.30     Each 1/10 of a mile thereafter
$30.00    Waiting Time (per hour)

Rate 2:

$ 3.00    Flag Drop
$ 0.30    Each 1/10 of a mile thereafter
$35.00   Waiting Time (per hour)

Rate  1  fares   apply   to   taxi  cabs operating in the following  cities:  Los   Gatos,   Milpitas,   San Jose,  Santa Clara,  and Saratoga.

Rate  2  fares   apply  to   taxi   cabs operating in the following  cities:  Campbell,   Cupertino,   Mountain View, and Sunnyvale.

Our  taxi  cab meters  are set up to show  both fares depending  on  the   area  from  where  you take the taxi.

Flat Rates instead of Meter Fare:

We  also work with our  customers to help them get a reasonable  fare for  their  taxi  cab  use.  We  give very low rates to the San Jose, San Francisco,  and Oakland  airports. If you inform  us ahead of time of your travel  plans and transportation needs, we are more than happy to  work  with you to get you a fair price.

Discounts on Meter Fare:

We  also  have  coupons  which  will  give you up to 20 %  off when   you    take  our   taxi   cab   to   the airport.  These coupons   are  only  valid  when you use  them  with  the meter fare,  but not the flat rate.

We  also  give  a  15% discount on  the meter fare to all senior citizens.
